About the role
We are building a world-building and storytelling tool: collaborative documents over Yjs, a story editor, published reader sites, maps, family trees, subscriptions. The surface area is wide and the team is small, so features land with one person carrying them the whole way.
What you will do
- Own features end to end: schema, server actions, real-time sync, and the interface
- Work across Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase/Postgres, and our Yjs collaboration server
- Make decisions about data models that thousands of worlds will live inside
- Fix the thing that is actually slow, not the thing that is easiest to measure
What we are looking for
- You have shipped real product, not just services. You care what the user ends up with
- Comfortable with Postgres and RLS, and unbothered by a tricky migration
- Able to hold a system in your head and still sweat the interface
- Bonus: CRDTs, real-time collaboration, rich text editors, or Cloudflare Workers
