Application Terms
Last updated: 4 August 2026
1. About these Terms
These Application Terms ("Terms") apply when you apply for a role at vvd inc. ("vvd", "we", "us") through our careers pages, or when you send us an application any other way. By submitting an application you accept these Terms and confirm that you have read our Applicant Privacy Notice.
If you do not agree with them, please do not submit an application. You are welcome to write to us at hi@vvd.sh with any question first.
2. Your Information
You agree that we may collect, store and process the information and files you submit, including your name, contact details, resume, links and answers, in order to assess your application, communicate with you about it, and keep a record of our hiring process.
How we handle that information, how long we keep it, who we share it with, where it goes and what rights you have over it are set out in our Applicant Privacy Notice, which forms part of these Terms.
- Read it in full: Global Data Privacy Notice for Job Applicants
3. Accuracy
You confirm that the information you give us is true, accurate and your own, and that you have told us honestly whether you are legally entitled to work where the role requires. If information turns out to be false or misleading, we may end your application, or your employment if it is discovered later.
4. Confidential and Third-Party Material
Please do not send us anything you are not free to share:
- Confidential information belonging to a current or former employer or client
- Work or material owned by someone else that you do not have permission to share
- Personal information about other people, including referees, unless they have agreed
- Sensitive information such as health, religion, political views or trade-union membership, unless we specifically ask for it and explain why
You confirm that applying does not breach any agreement you have with anyone else, including any confidentiality, non-compete or non-solicitation agreement.
5. What You Send Us
You keep ownership of the work, samples and portfolio material you send. You give us permission to store it and to share it internally with the people involved in hiring for the role, for as long as we keep your application. We will not publish it or use it commercially without your permission.
If you send us ideas, suggestions or feedback about vvd that we did not ask for, we may use them freely, without confidentiality and without payment. Please do not send us anything you consider confidential or expect to be paid for.
6. No Offer of Employment
Applying, interviewing, completing an exercise or discussing a role does not create an offer of employment or any contract between us, and does not oblige us to progress, respond to or fill any role. Any offer we make will be in writing and will set out its own terms.
We may change, pause or withdraw any posting at any time.
7. How We Review Applications
Applications are reviewed by people at vvd. We may use software to store, organise, search and sort applications, but we do not reject or hire anyone by automated means alone.
Where a role calls for it and the law allows it, we may ask for an exercise, an assessment, references or a background check. We will tell you before we do. Any unpaid exercise we ask for will be limited in scope, used only to assess your application, and never shipped in our product.
8. Equal Opportunity
vvd is an equal opportunity employer. We consider applicants without regard to race, colour, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
If you need an adjustment or accommodation at any point in the process, write to hi@vvd.sh and we will arrange it.
9. Withdrawing Your Application
You can withdraw your application, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing hi@vvd.sh. If you agreed to us keeping your details on file for future roles, you can withdraw that separately at the same address, and it will not affect an application you have already made.
We may keep a minimal record of applications where the law requires it, as described in the Applicant Privacy Notice.
10. Recruitment Fraud
We never ask applicants to pay anything at any stage of our hiring process, and we never ask for bank or payment details as part of an application. If you receive a message like that claiming to come from vvd, please report it to hi@vvd.sh.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The version that applies to your application is the one published at the moment you submitted it, and that version is recorded alongside your application.
12. Contact
