Frequently asked questions

What are you looking for?

We are looking for independent creators and teams building remarkable fiction projects and telling unforgettable stories. We want to invest in ideas that are extraordinary, underrated, and unlike anything we've seen before.

Projects of all genres are welcome!

We want to provide the best support to the community so here are some things to consider in the application process:

Writers

  • Synopsis and excerpt of the project you would like funding for
  • Links to existing published pieces

TTRPG

  • Link to a published system, module, or supplement
  • Design documents, character sheet designs, maps, handouts

Game dev

  • Link to a playable build, demo, or trailer
  • Link to the project's GDD

Animation

Please submit projects that are past the initial previz phase. We would love to see animatics, storyboards, or layout examples to showcase the project's plans.

I have never used vvd, is my project still eligible?

Yes, you are still eligible and can apply! We would love to give you the tools and resources to build out your project whether you are a current vvd user or want to become one.

Is this available internationally?

Yes. As long as we can legally send you the grant funds, all creators around the world can apply!

Is there a deadline to submit?

No, the vvd Fellowship program is ongoing and will continue to accept applications throughout the year.

What do I need to do if I am accepted in the fellowship?

If you are accepted into the vvd fellowship, you will receive a package outlining how your project will be supported by vvd.

Fellows that receive grant funding must use the funds in connection to the project specified in the application. vvd will work closely with the creator/team and provide additional marketing and networking support to kickstart production.
